There’s a fast, simple and precise way to measure the positioning accuracy of your rotary or tilting table: meet the new RVM 4000 comparator measuring system from HEIDENHAIN. Simply attach its optical scale drum to your table using a mounting aid and a machine-specific adapter (if needed). Then use a tool holder to insert the scanning unit into the spindle, and connect it to a PC through an EIB 700. After enjoying the wide mounting tolerances, you’re now ready to start measuring with a system accuracy of better than 1 arc second. The ACCOM 4.0 software lets you store the results and perform intuitively guided, standards-conforming analyses. Acceptance tests in accordance with ISO 230-2, for example, are easy to perform right on your shop floor.
