A new generation under a new brand: the METRO and SPECTO length gauges will now come from NUMERIK JENA. They unmistakably bear the signature of the HEIDENHAIN Corporate Group's specialists for particularly small measuring devices, since these new series are particularly slim. A practical advantage: a reduced station width, which offers many possibilities when planning multi-gauging fixtures, such as an increased number of measuring points.
Flexible application options were at the top of the agenda when developing the new generation of length gauges. The standardized platform design with many variants results in a broadly diversified modular system that can fulfill nearly every requirement in production metrology, quality assurance, measuring equipment monitoring and position measurement. All properties can be combined:
Accuracy grade: ±0.5 µm (METRO) or ±1.0 µm (SPECTO)
Measuring length: 12 mm or 30 mm
Shaft diameter: standardized at 8 mm for both measuring lengths
In practical terms, the new METRO and SPECTO length gauges impress with their robustness and high accuracy over the entire measuring range as well as with the resulting process reliability of the measurements. Their mounting compatibility and the possibility of using different variants in one application not only increase flexibility during the initial setup of a measuring station, but they also facilitate adaptations within existing setups while reducing effort and costs.
